What traders ask first
Is this a signal service?
No. The terminal shows what the market did, what was filed and what is scheduled. It never says buy or sell, and it never will. What you do with it is your call.
Do you auto-trade my account?
Never. The terminal cannot place a trade. If a broker link ever arrives, it will be read-only, to verify an account, never to trade. The wall between reading and clicking is the product.
How fresh is the data?
The indices, the VIX and the market map are live while the market is open; the stress gauges update every night. News refreshes every 10 minutes from 4am New York. Filings, funds, Congress and the calendar update every night.
Where does the data come from?
Two independent daily price feeds cross-checked every night, SEC EDGAR, official macro vintages as they were known at the time, index history back to 1927. When the two feeds disagree, the row gets flagged, not smoothed over.
Do I still need my charting tool?
Maybe not. Every US stock charts from 1 minute to weekly, live during the session, with trend lines, levels, Fibonacci and notes saved to your account. If you love your charting platform, keep it: ALPHA is the research around the chart.
Why would I pay for a tool that promises nothing?
